    This 5 year, extensive educational collaboration between Sweden's Uppsala University and the St. Petersburg University of Economics and Finance provides management accounting course material, translated into Russian. This material been used to train more than 1,100 Russian students and managers with cassettes and printed resources (not by telecommunications).

  • Distance Education Center "Eidos" *

    Director, Andrey Khutorskoy describes this center as having "the following directions of the work - research in distant education, development of training methods in creative education technology, distant forms of creative education (courses, seminars, projects, olympiads). These distant forms of education are oriented to individual educational trajectories of the learners, development of their creative potential. Center "Eidos" has carried out such distant international projects as Heuristic Olympiad, "My Virtual Home", and "Phenomenon" among students of different ages and nations."   • The Association for International Education (AIE) *

    A not-for-profit organization established in 1993, AIE supports innovative educational methods including distance learning projects with universities such as the State University of New York (SUNY) and the use of computer and telecommunications technologies for the integration of Russian universities into the world education system.

  • TACIS BISTRO Distance Education Project *

    The purpose of this project between several universities in the St. Petersburg area (Leningrad Region) and the University of Helsinki in Finland is the "training of experts for creation of a modern system of education and staff development for Leningrad Region on the basis of technologies of virtual reality.

  • Training in US Business Practices Over the Internet *

    Learn the best practices of US business. This course is for individuals and organizations who wish to significantly improve their business decision making skills (strategy, marketing, manufacturing, finance and accounting). It is also for those who work with US business people and want to better understand their way of thinking and making decisions.

    The learning method is focused on decision making and not memorization. Participants are placed in a business war game where they must run a company and compete in the marketplace for two years of business (ten weeks). The course is delivered over the Internet and available to anyone, anywhere in the world.
