Organizational Activities

  • Voronezh Civnet held negotiations with Municipal Institution of supplementary education -Youth Center. The areas of mutual interests were discussed and directions of future cooperation within the framework of the project were established.
  • Voronezh Civnet continued to work with editorial office of Voronezh State Television and Radio Company. In February, the project officers made two more radio programs providing coverage of activities under the project.
  • A meeting was held with director of Regional Junior School of Adaptive Physical Culture for the Invalids. The directions of future cooperation were discussed. This organization is now working as the coordinator of Special Olympic Motion in Central Black-Soil Region. The strategic purpose of this activity - engaging of maximum number of retarded people to the special Olympic programs.
  • Within the framework of the project the joint activities with commercial organization Consulting center "Open planet� is organized. This organization coordinates the following summer programs for students:
    • " Work and travel USA ", via Alliances Abroad, Council Exchanges
    • "Anglo Training" - Great Britain (summer jobs in restaurant and hotel business)
    • "Tutor" ("Au Pair" - France, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands, Spain),
    • Volunteer camps - international volunteer motion,
    • American Field Service.
Together with the �Open Planet�, Civnet officers have prepared radio programs, communicating joint activities to the public. We are currently designing web-page about this organization, the Civnet has opened an e-mail account for them.

The chiefs of Consulting Centre "Open planet" have gratefully marked positive results of our team working. The intake of youth was increased, owing to what the activity of this organization was considerably actuated.
 

Formation of informational technical infrastructure
  • One more public access point was connected to the Civnet. The PAP was opened on the basis of Regional Junior School of Adaptive Physical Culture for the Invalids.
  • During month we continued formation of the server �Voronezh Civic Network� (vcn.vorstu.ac.ru):
  • Design of the main page of the VCN server was changed, now it looks more indiscrete
  • We continued collection and processing data to fill up VCN server
  • Three new personal pages were designed and published
  • We regularly updated following sections: �Regional News�, � Project Log�, �Bulletin Board�.
Central Public Access Center activities
  • This month, as well as during all previous months the full range of our services within the framework of the project has been provided to our visitors. Consultations and web workshops continued to function.
  • On the basis of the Main PAP Facility, we conducted classes according to the following schedule:
Monday: 10a.m. -12a.m. (1 group 10 trainees)   1p.m. -4 p.m. (1 group 7 trainees)

Tuesday: 10a.m. -1p.m. (1 group 20 trainees)

Wednesday: 1p.m. -4 p.m. (1 group 7 trainees)

Thursday: 10a.m. -12a.m. (1 group 10 trainees)   3p.m. - 5p.m. (1 group 11 trainees)

Friday: 3p.m. - 5p.m. (1 group 11 trainees)

Saturday: 10a.m. - 6p.m. (6 groups each consisting of 6-7 persons, total �38 trainees)

Sunday: 10a.m.- 3p.m. (4 groups each consisting of 6-7 persons, total �25 trainees)
 

               The total number of trainees in February was 139 persons.
