The entire evening of February 9th and day of February 10th were devoted to cultural program and a tour of the Washington. The most part of Russian participants visited USA at the first time that is why all excursions and trips were very interesting for Russian visitors.

Jefferson and Lincoln Memorials, NASA museum and National Gallery of Art's collection, Washington National Cathedral and many other museums- this is the list of sights.

In Washington National Cathedral

Workshop participants visited Jefferson Memorial.

In National Gallery of Art's collection Russian visitors could visit an admirable exposition of French impressionists. Many art works are inaccessible for the general public of other countries. These paintings of masters of this school are seldom exhibited. So the opportunity to see this outstanding collection was a good luck! The works of C. Monet, E. Manet, Vincent van Gogh, Cezanne, Degas, Renoir, Picasso and many others are excellent! The paintings of French painter Serra are very rare, in the museums all over the world one cam find only few works, in National Gallery of Art's collection we could see three works of this master and appreciate his unique painting technique. Also, exposition of EL Greco, Geinsboro impressed us very much.

"A Girl with a Watering Can" (1876), by Auguste Renoir, is one of the masterpieces in the National Gallery of Art's collection.
