Sergiev Posad Civic Networking
March, 2000
During March we have done the following:
1. Youth Initiatives Center was created in Bogorodskoe settlement in
February, 2000. Together with this Center we developed a project of cultural
exchange between the similar Center in Paris. We are going to hold in Paris
an exhibition of youth creative achievements. A group of young people will
be send as delegates to France. The communication with French colleagues
is realized with the help of Civic Networking (Internet, e-mail). It is
a big achievement for rural region. The number of users in this Public
Access Point is equal to more than 60 persons. The administration of settlement
provides a building for Center and a big allotment for construction of
sports center.
The Program of Youth Initiatives Center will be published in the nearest
future at our site.
2. In March in Moscow at Moscow Region Chamber of Commerce there was
opened The Commercial Center in Internet. The appropriate equipment was
purchased. With the help of our specialists a site www.tpp.ru
was created. The aim of this site is to provide assistance in trade deals
to region enterprises. ( Director Oleg Starkov is a technical director
of Sergiev Posad Civic Networking).
3. The Foundation for Social Programs and Educational Center "Dubna"
Representation (Director V. Simonov) began a huge project. This is the
creation of united information interactive telecommunication cyberspace
( Electronic Commodity Exchange) in Sergiev Posad region. During this project
we are going to use the equipment provided by "Friends and Partners"Foundation.
The goal of this project is the attraction of region enterprises to
business cooperation due to information exchange provided by civic networking.
Business proposals, agreement's conclusions are available through Internet.
So, we are ready to create a Business Cooperation Center, which will
be the place of creation and implementation of new technologies, inventions
with the help of scientists from Dubna city and Sergiev Posad. The Director
of the project is Vladislav Dudchenko-Dudko.
We hope that in this Center the young scientists and businessmen could
meet, discuss their issues, get new ideas. Foundation for Social Programs
will provide a free access to Internet to center's visitors.
4. Foundation for Social Programs provides assistance in attempts of
young scientists from conversion enterprises (Defense Industry) to implement
a developed product "Electronic Nose". The Director of this project is
Sergey Kazakov.
This device is an electronic sensor that could determine "m" component
in gas or liquid medium. It is a new class of information-measuring instrument,
it has a wide sphere of practical application during ecological monitoring.
Foundation for Social Programs together with E-initiative Foundation
(Boston, USA) plans to use the system of micro grants for development of
this project. (A meeting devoted to this issue will be held in London on
8 April, 2000.
