SNIP, developed in the fSU, is the official federal uniform, regulatory system of national codes and construction regulations of the Russian Federation used for design and construction. This is not a code development, administration or enforcement organization but an system of standards and codes that are now being adopted by other NIS countries. This nonprofit foundation was founded under a cooperative agreement with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) - Research Center.
