Class: Earth. Type: Radarsat. Nation: USSR. Manufacturer: KBYu. First prototype of Okean series. Development of methods for obtaining operational information on the Pacific Ocean. The Okean's instruments were evidently mounted on a Meteor 3 bus. Instruments did not include the RLSBO side-looking radar. Therefore it would have been equipped with:
SM-5 magnetometer
RM-0.8 scanning radiometer with a swath width of 550 km and a resolution of 25 km
MSU-M 4-band multispectral scanner with a swath width of 1900 km and a resolution of 1.8 km
MSU-S 2-band multispectral scanner with a swath width of 1100 km and a resolution of 410 m
SpecificationTotal Mass: 1,950 kg.
