KRASNODAR Regional Community Foundation "Resource Center" held legal seminar for NGO community of Krasnodar City Seminar for NGO community "Documents processing, contracts and confidentiality issues in NGO work" was held on June 26, 1997 in Krasnodar. The initiator of the event, Krasnodar Regional Community Foundation "Resource Center" (KRC), had gathered leaders of 17 non-profit organizations from Krasnodar. Sponsor & partner of KRC - Kuban Youth Union - had provided the meeting room for the seminar. Trainers of the day were Pavel Rykhletzky ("Gardarika" legal agency) and Irina Biryukova ("KRC" legal coordinator).

Issues presented to the audience:

Contract agreements NGOs involved in (purchase, rental and sub-contracting). Caveats.
Successful contracts - what should they include.
Issues of confidentiality in NGO work.
Legal standards of NGO official documents writing and processing.
Questions and answers.

The seminar was well received. Questions NGO leaders addressed to lawyers were very significant and pragmatic to the audience. Some of them were answered on the spot. Few of them will be clarified to the clients during regular one-on-one consultations, scheduled for Thursday, July 3, 1997. "Gardarika" agency lawyers will also take part in these counseling sessions.
