The British Know How Fund (profiled in CSEW Sep-Oct 96) operates a “low-priced book scheme”for public institutions in many of the ex-Soviet bloc nations. Through this program they can obtain books from British publishers at up to 70% off the lowest retail prices. Books provided by the Fund’s Low Priced British Books (LPBB) scheme are:

The scheme currently operates in Albania, Belarus, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Estonia, FYR Macedonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Ukraine.
