We
visited a Moscow Medical School where nurses are trained. In Russia, nurses
carry out doctor's orders with little participation in complex assessment or
diagnosis. Unlike American nurses, they are supervised by doctors, taught by
doctors, and paid almost the same as doctors.

| St. Basil's
Cathedral in Red Square, Moscow, always takes your breath away because of it's
beauty. Here, the group gathers for a photo before hearing the history of this
beautiful monument. According to history, Ivan the Terrible had it built, and
then blinded the architects so they could not build anything so beautiful again.

The train
ride from Moscow to Novgorod takes about 10 hours and leaves Moscow at 9:00 PM.
After gathering together in 1 cabin for a few toasts, we split up into cabins
with 4 bunks for a comfortable overnight ride. The conductor of the car supplies
a great cup of hot tea before the train arrives at the Novgorod train station. |
