Organizational activity
-
Voronezh Civnet continued to work with the editorial office
of Voronezh State Television and Radio Company. In December, the project
officers made two more radio programs, providing coverage of activities
under the project. The most acute environmental problems were discussed
in the programs. One of the programs was prepared together with the public
organization �Bim�, specializing in protection of homeless animals. The
program awoke vivid interest in many listeners, and we received great response.

The project officers held negotiations with the director
of Juvenile School of Adaptive Physical Education for Invalid Children.
The agreement was achieved on the arrangement of the Internet public access
point on the basis of this organization. The proposed solutions of technical
issues were evaluated and discussed.

The project officers carried out a meeting with the director
of the consulting center�Open Planet�. The Center works with a number of
international work and travel programs and offers numerous rest and employment
opportunities for Voronezh youth under the program �Work and Travel in
the USA�. Civnet and �Open Planet� identified areas of mutual interests
and discussed plans for joint activities.

On the 5th of December our partners and friends from the
Regional Juvenile Library have completed preparatory works for allocating
and lining of the allocated channel. In this connection, the project officers
carried out a meeting with the director of the library and discussed the
technical improvements and further possibilities of the library PAP performance
improvement.

With the purpose of extending our contacts, the project officers
have taken active part in the municipal fair of youth organizations, which
was held on the 19th of December at the Youth Center. The advertising
materials developed to communicate the project activities to Voronezh public
have been exhibited and distributed at the fair.

We gave a lot of our time and effort to the Voronezh Civnet
users who expressed willingness to participate in a public discussion of
the state symbolics. Civnet project officers were asked to assist the distribution
of the special issue of the literary journal �Victoria� advocating selection
of A. V. Alexandrov�s music for a hymn of Russia. Civnet project officers
helped to write and send letters of appeal to editorial officers of different
newspapers, delegates of the city and regional councils, and the president
of Russia.
Formation of informational technical infrastructure
We continued collection and processing data to fill
up the server �Voronezh Civnet� (http://vcn.vorstu.ac.ru).

We regularly updated the following sections: �Regional News�,
�Regional Press Publications�, �Public Life News�, �Bulletin Board�, and
the newest subsection �Project Log� that provides coverage of our daily
project activities.

Some new personal pages were designed and published (Gennady
Nesterov, an artist). The old pages were maintained and updated.

We also designed and published new pages about Voronezh medical
equipment manufactures: NPO �Krylia� and AOZT �Serdolik�.
Main PAP activities
-
This month, as well as during all previous months, the full
range of our services within the framework of the project has been provided
to our visitors free of charge. Consultations and web workshops continued
to function.

On the basis of the Main PAP Facility, we continued classes
for the school students of 7-11th grades. Subjects of classes are "Fundamentals
of vectoral graphics"(Corel Draw), "Fundamentals of image graphics"(Adobe
Photoshop), "Fundamentals of HTML" (40 trainees).

We continued training for the members of association of NGOs
�Sodruzhestvo� (9 trainees).
