Organizational activity

The Civnet coordinators continued to work with the editorial
officers of the Voronezh State TV and Radio Company. On the 8th
and 22th of October, two new radio programs, prepared by the
Civnet project officers, went on the air. The programs informed local communities
of the progress on the project development.

In order to advocate more for the project, the project coordinator
Lubov Grigorieva made a report under the title of �Cooperation with international
projects� on the Third International Education Fair in Voronezh 10/ 03/2000).

On the 6th of October the project officers carried out a
conference for the Civnet�s users, on which the further plans, prospects
of the project development, and also organizational issues were discussed
-
In order to promote the project activities, on the 20th of
October Tatiana Zhukova, one of the project officers, delivered a report
under the title �Advantages applying Internet in the non-book library departments�.
The report was delivered at the Voronezh Regional Advanced Librarian Training
Courses.
Formation of the informational -technical infrastructure
Collection, processing and formatting of materials for
the server "Voronezh Civic Network" (http://vcn.vorstu.ac.ru)
continued in October.
Such sections as "Regional news", "Regional media publications",
" News of public life", �Project News�, "The bulletin board", were updated
regularly.
The new pages were formed:

Association of non-profit organizations �Sodruzhestvo�
-
Voronezh Regional Art Museum named after Kramskoy (section
�Culture�)
-
America at sight (two personal pages)
-
Two personal pages (a poet Albina Sineva, a publicist Alexander
Vanyurx).
The old pages were maintained and updated.
The exchange of banners was carried out (�Russian Internet
Resources�, section Russian Regions).
Main PAP Facility�s Work

This month, as well as during all previous months, the full
range of our services within the framework of the project has been provided
to our visitors free of charge. Consultations and web workshops continued
to function.

On the basis of the Main PAP Facility, we continued classes
for the school students of 7-11 grades. Subjects of classes are "Fundamentals
of vectoral graphics"(Corel Draw), "Fundamentals of image graphics"(Adobe
Photoshop), "Fundamentals of HTML" (40 trainees).

The scheduled training sessions for the members of Association
�Sodruzhestvo�, were carried out also (9 persons).
