Organizational activities

  • Voronezh Civnet continued to work with the editorial office of Voronezh State Television and Radio Company. In May, the project officers made two more radio programs providing coverage of activities under the project.
  • We spent a lot of our time making a film about Voronezh Civic Network.
  • We granted two computers to public organization �Vera�, working with children invalids.
  • At the request of, Voronezh Regional Agricultural Credit Co-operative, the project officers helped to find insurance and leasing companies, and other sources of funding, supporting agricultural programs. Now association prepares documents for representation in different funds.
  • The project officers held a meeting with the director of the public organization �Luch�, working with invalids. We discussed possibilities of the VCN project in contributing activities of this organization.
  • Project officers provided technical help and regular consultations to the project participants and organizations, connected to the civnet, on networking administration and equipment maintenance.
  • Project officers performed technical servicing and administration of the Main Public Access Point and maintained the entire complex of services based on it, including the sub-project "Web - workshop", full-time advisory service, and Internet � class with ten workstations connected to the Internet.
Formation the server �Voronezh Civic Network� In May, we continued to collect and process the data to fill up the server �Voronezh Civic Network� (http://vcn.vorstu.ac.ru). The old pages were maintained and updated. Such sections as �Regional News�, � Project Log�, �Bulletin Board� have been regularly updated.

Main PAP activities

  • In May consultations and web workshops continued to function.
  • At the Main PAP Facility, we conducted classes according to the following schedule:
Monday: 10a.m. - 12a.m. (1 group 10 trainees)          1p.m. - 4p.m (1 group 7 trainees)

Tuesday: 10a.m. - 1 p.m. (1 group 20 trainees)

Wednesday: 1p.m. - 4 p.m. (1 group 7 trainees)

Thursday: 10-12 a.m.(1 group 10 trainees)                        3-5 p.m. (1 group 11 trainees)

Friday: 3p.m.-5 p.m. (1 group 11 trainees)

Saturday: 10a.m. - 6 p.m. (6 groups each consisting of 6-7 persons, total �38 trainees)

Sunday: 10a.m.- 3 p.m. (4 groups each consisting of 6-7 persons, total �25 trainees)
