Voronezh Civil Network

April, 2001

Organizational activities

  • The project officers held a meeting with the secretary of the executive board of a Voronezh regional public organization Society of the Russian-Belorus friendship. In the course of the meeting, participants discussed possibilities of the VCN project in contributing activities of this organization.
  • Representatives of a noncommercial organization Center of a pre-hospital medical care have requested our assistance. The center is engaged in educating Voronezh citizens in the issues of medical aid in emergency situations. The centers experience has demonstrated that the vast majority of the population is completely unaware of even the foundations of emergency medial assistance. Hence, the decision to publish some of the teaching materials, developed by this Center, is very urgent and practical in the light of recent events. The project officers started preparation of the web site for this organization. The project officers have already completed the site basic design and layout to structurally present rather large amount of information of approximately 10 Gb.
  • Voronezh Civnet continued to work with the editorial office of Voronezh State Television and Radio Company. In April, the project officers made two more radio programs providing coverage of activities under the project.
  • The project officers have effectively assisted a sponsor search of the Opera Studio at the Municipal Children's Performing Arts School 4 for organization of tours and concerts of the opera studio collective (http: // vcn.vorstu.ac.ru/win/grsector/isk/index .htm).
  • The competition "Juvenile Designer" for the school students who attend training courses in the Main PAP has been conducted. 70 eight, nine, ten, and eleven graders have participated in the competition. Some works may be considered significant intellectual achievements. were made on enough high level.
  • At the request of the writer Stanislav Filatov from a village Ternovka of Voronezh area, (http:// vcn.vorstu.ac.ru/win/home/filatov/index.htm) the project officers helped to find publishers for publication of his works.
  • The informational materials have been developed about the project and its achievements to be exhibited and distributed at the international exhibition Training, Careers, Business, Jobs Abroad, which was conducted on the 20 22 of April at support of Ministry of education of the Russian Federation and Administrations of Voronezh region and city.
