Samara Civic Networking
August, 2000.

1. Users - 38
2. Time of dial-up access - 724 hours.
3. 33 services were performed and 60 hours were provided through the classes of the free Internet access (Samara State Technical University and HECA "Povolzje" - Internet access, hardware lending, printing etc) for 14 nonprofit organizations of Samara City and region.
4. Two new users were connected through dial-up -
1. Samara regional public organization "Association of the social supporting of the disable children"

5. The works for engage of new users of SCN were continued.
6. The meetings for advancement of Samara Civic Network:

  • The meeting with the delegation of American senators took place where they were informed about the Samara Civic Network project. Carole Hillard, Lieutenant Governor State of Soufh Dakota. [email protected]

  • Fred C. Whiting, South Dakota Senate, [email protected]
  • The meeting with Alla Noskova, manager of the programs of the "Citizen corps for the democracy CDC " took place. She was informed about partner projects of the HECA "Povolzje" with institutions of USA.
5. The current support was provided for the information resources at the SCN server.
6. The work was continued on the selection and edition of the materials for homepages of the nonprofit organizations of Samara City and region.
7. The work was continued on the creation and edition of the materials for homepages of the nonprofit organizations of Samara City and region (the home-pages of 10 organizations were prepared.
9. The work was continued on the testing of software and completing the information resource (Virtual mirror of nonprofit sector of Russia. Samara region) URL: http://dev3.webzavod.ru
