  1. In the framework of �The Program of Obninsk Development as Naukograd (Science City)� computer classes (8-10 PCs) are delivered to all city schools. The delivery is implemented by the �Port� company that won the tender announced by the City of Obninsk. Schoolteachers on informatics will be trained using the facilities of OK_Club in the framework of OK_Club series of activities named �Computer � to School�.

  2. Civic movement �Computer to School� of the OCN together with the city Board of General Education and the �Port� company had a meeting with schoolteachers of informatics on September 9, 2001. The participants discussed the content of the curriculum and organizational issues. Training process for teaches was launch on September 17 and will take from 3 weeks to 2 months depending on a teacher�s qualification

  3. On September 25 OK_Club hosted presentation of a new project of Coordination Volunteers Center (CVC). The name of the project is �Development of Social Partnership in City Community�. The project is supported by the Open Society Institute (Soros Foundation). The goal of the project is the strengthening of interrelations between media, non-profits, local government, and business by means of carrying out of joint actions with Obninsk non-profits. Among the tasks of the project there are the following: to attract attention of the community to NGOs, increase the number of volunteers, and to improve interaction of NGOs and local government. The presentation gathered leaders of well known in the city not-for-profit organizations: Sergei Kirichuk (Red Cross), Tatyana Klimakova (Obninsk Community Foundation), Nikolai Shestoperov and Tatyana Petrova (Obninsk Civic Council), Ekaterina Cherevan� (Youth Diabetic Society), Vladimir Tarasov (Society of Local Lore �Repinka�), Yurii Koftan (OK_Club and OCN), etc. Members of Obninsk City Council Alexander Morozov and Tatyana Volkova and a member of the Kaluga Legislative Assembly Tatyana Kotlyar also took part in the meeting. The city business was represented by Anatolii Shatukhin. After the formal presentation of the project the participants stared a discussion about ways to support NGOs� activity and about opportunities of interaction between NGOs and business.

  5. In September 6 new resources of OCN came into being:
    • http://freediving.obninsk.org � in �Sport� section � the first RUSSIAN site devoted to free-diving and related issues. Created due to the initiative of Yuliya Petrik � one of the first free0divers in Russia;
    • http://mtobninsk.hut.ru � in �Culture� section � site of Obninsk Youth Theater. There are playbills, announcement of performances, repertoire, content of performances, gallery of actors, many pictures taken during performances, merry stories about theatre, location of the facility, and links.
    • http://www.proza.ru:8004/author.html?jpetrash � A new literary work � �Islam. Origin, Dogma, the Present� by Yu.G. Petrash appeared on the site �Literature Salon�. Mr. Petrash is a professor of OINPE, academician, WWII veteran, boxing trainer.
    • http://www.teatr.obninsk.ru � in �Culture� section � site of OINPE Theater It contains news, information on actors and leaders, repertoire, and history.
    • http://all.obninsk.org � in �Media� section � reference book of Obninsk. This new site is Obninsk directory integrated with Obninsk map.
    1. On September 28 a representative Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) visited Obninsk being invited by Tatyana Klimakova (Director, Obninsk Community Foundation). They had negotiations with participation of OCN and Obninsk Union of Entrepreneurs.
