On July 3, 2001 OK_Club hosted broadened meeting of the Trusts
Council and Board of Directors of Obninsk Community Foundation (Chairman
of the OCN Board of Directors Yurii Koftan is a member of the Trusts Council).
The goals of the Obninsk Community Foundation looks
as following:
-attraction of resources of local community (funds, material
resources, volunteers, etc.) and their distribution to local organizations
that implement projects directed to solve the most critical local social
problems
-involvement of all groups of the community into charitable
activity
The agenda of the meeting included the report about the
OCF activity and planning activity till the end of 2001. The participants
elected the Chairman of Trusts Council � Vice-Mayor on Social Matters Alexander
Sychev. The OCF launched fundraising company for the second competition
of projects (July�October). The priority direction of funding will be determined
in the course of fundraising company. The competition will be announced

The IV traditional youth festival ROCK SPROUTS started in
OK_Club. This year the IV festival of rock groups from Obninsk and other
cities (of different styles and directions from classic �hard� rock to
fashionable now �hardcore� � �alternative�) was dated for the 45th Anniversary
and 5th Anniversary of OK_Club were the festival came into being... The
festival lasts for 5 days. More 20 groups from Obninsk and the region and
from Moscow take part in it.

On July 13 ���� OK_Club hosted a seminar �Development of
Information Systems on Epsylon Technologies� for the OCN members interested
in modern computer technologies. The seminar was carried out by the "Epsylon
Tehnologies" company. The seminar was devoted to Borland Delphi and Kylix,
Interbase/FireBird, development of information systems on Epsylon technologies.
The seminar reviewed Borland tools, considered issues of work with databases,
safety of information systems, and principles of development of corporate
project using Baikonur/Taxxi. The number of the seminar participants �

The OK_Club together with the �Obninsk� newspaper opend a
new forum on the OCN site. The forum is devoted to problems of the Program
of Obninsk Development as Naukograd (science city) in 2000-2004. All interested
individuals and organizaions are invited to take part in the forum. Now
the forum has all publications of series �Naukograd: problems, search,
solutions� from �Obninsk� newspaper. The �Obninsk� newspaper will publish

In July 2001 136 OCN members used the distant access. About
800 citizens visited the PACs
