3. On February 18 the presentation of the March 18 project was carried out in the OK_Club.

The election of the city Mayor and of a member of the City Council will take place in Obninsk on March 18. The site (mart18.obninsk.org) is created to give citizens an opportunity to know the candidates and their program. It is possible to vote for a candidate on the site. Similar projects exist in the Western countries and they reflect opinion of active Internet users that are usually active in community life. Among the participants of the presentation there were candidates for city Mayor, their electoral headquarters, and all city media. All the participants highly appreciated the new initiative and promised to support the project.
The participation of candidates for Mayor in the presentation made it the first event of the election company as February 18 was the first official day of the campaign.
The participants noted that OK_Club once again confirmed its image as one of the most active and popular places of the community life..
The project starts its activity during a very important political event for the city and provides the citizens with an opportunity to speak out their opinion and to discuss a wide circle of issues.
