"Arab Handwriting Collections of Dagestan"
Project and Some questions of Data Base Creation

The decision of the Council of the Federal program "State support of the integration of the Higher education and fundamental science" approved joint project "Arab manuscript collections of Dagestan" (1997-2000). The main goal is to discover, localize, identify, and scientifically describe unique handwritten collections (both private and mosques', around 300). As a result the catalogue of a region will be created.
