Computer Approach during the Registration of Sheep in Tuna Villayet

Agnam defterleri for the Tuna villayet contain mass statistical data for 16 293 owners from 348 villages with 771 053 heads of sheep. Those villages represent a 12 % representative sustruct from all villages.

During processing those exit statistical data three different computer programs were used, of the sorting type. They distribute the massive of data of the entering magnitudes by the group features: Bulgarians, Muslims, Tartars and Ciracassians. At the same time the group massifs were processed by given criteria: owners of sheep from 1 to 10 heads, from 11 to 20 heads etc.

It was intended the programs to work in a dialogue regime. They were constructed in a structural modular principle and are realised in a linear way except of one branch that is located at the end and could not get the program work. Only in the program SELO two modules were used as subprograms.

The programs were coded on BASIC and were installed in a P.C. Pravets 8M
