The Institute for Training and Development (ITD) is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that specializes in designing and implementing international training, internship, and exchange programs. ITD works primarily with professionals and leaders from governmental, non-governmental, and business organizations world-wide.Founded in 1985, ITD has conducted programs for over 2,000 participants from 49 countries. They currently manage about $1 million of contracts per year; our services have been funded by USAID, USIA/Department of State, World Bank, Peace Corps, private businesses, foreign governments, and United Nations programmes such as UNICEF, UNDP and the FAO.
Most ITD programs are based at ITD�s home in Amherst, Massachusetts with field research components, depending upon the nature of the program, in Washington DC, New York City, Salt Lake City, UT, Tucson and Phoenix, AZ, Boston, MA, and rural New England. Many programs have in-country components.
