Pilot Issue - June 1997
A preview of Opinion

Central Asian Center of Social Data (BRIF Center) is pleased to announce its new publication, Opinion, a monthly review to be issued from July 1997 onward. The review will offer information on public opinion polls, social surveys, other social research conducted in the Central Asian republics, as well as descriptions of various information sources on the region.

The objective of Opinion is to provide accurate and timely knowledge on the social research conducted in Central Asia to scholars, journalists, policymakers and other interested in the area as well as to inform them on the new content of the BRIF Center's holdings.

BRIF Center is a non-for-profit NGO which gathers data on social research conducted in post-Soviet Central Asia, and to disseminate this information to all interested parties. (More information on BRIF is available on the CCSI Web site)

The pilot issue of the bulletin, which will provide an idea of what Opinion will look like, is now available via both e-mail and regular mail. To receive the pilot issue of the bulletin, or to subscribe to the bulletin (which is free of charge so far) contact Slava using the information provided above.
