The Childrens Charities program of Moscow Russia has asked Childlife International to begin a penpal program between American children and Russian orphans. Former Russian orphans who were adopted and who currently reside in the United States are especially encouraged to participate.

Correspondents can be age three and up. Each child can send a picture with their letter. Younger children may exchange drawings. All letters will be distributed among the orphans who will in return write back. First-time penpals can send their letters directly to Russia at the address above. Olga Dorkhova in Russia who will distribute them to the orphans. The orphans will then reply and from then on the penpals may exchange E-mail messages or postal mail directly with one another.

Childlife International is establishing itself in Russia to work as a humanitarian program. Olga Dorkhova, the woman who will co-ordinate the program in Russia, is also the president of Childlife International's sister agency in Russia. Olga has many contacts and Childlife wants to become a great help to others promoting goodwill, humanitarian aid and concern for children of all races and nationalities.
