This non-government organization has a feminist orientation and is focused on policy research on women and human rights in Ukraine and NIS. The Center prepared an independent report on the status of women in Ukraine for the UN Commission on Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) in 1996. As a partner for the League of Women Voters Educational Fund, in 1998 the Center participated in organization of workshops for Russian and Belarus women-activists "Voices of Women -- Forces for Change" funded by USIA .
