Chernobyl Children was founded in 1989 in Ukraine to provide medical and social assistance to children who were victims of the Chernobyl accident. It is an independent, voluntary organization registered at the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, representing 500,000 children who have suffered from the catastrophe at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Station. The organization would like to develop partnerships with other international NGOs.
