AEI offers aspiring entrepreneurs in Ukraine an independent option for assistance, training and information. The project aims to:Born in the midst of the RUKH movement, AEI is a nongovernmental, republic-wide association. It was founded in the summer of 1992 to work on economic and business proposals submitted to RUKH from foreign firms and Ukrainian entrepreneurs. It currently includes 14 regional offices. The association's central office works with its regional offices on a contractual basis.
- publish policy recommendations on a sector-by-sector basis addressed to gov-ernment as well as to businesses, in order to develop a market economy in a democratic state;
- build private institutions that provide entrepreneurs with access to needed information and consulting assistance; and
- provide training aimed at bringing the skills and practices of Ukrainian firms to the level of international standards.
