The Counterpart Alliance for Partnership in Ukraine and Belarus is a 4-year USAID-funded project designed to assist and support selected NGOs, to develop and strengthen the capacity of indigenous NGOs in Ukraine and Belarus to provide information exchange, social services, and to advocate on behalf of community and vulnerable groups such as children at risk, disabled, elderly as well as drug-addiction/alcoholism treatment and prevention and HIV/AIDS prevention. CAP targets “next generation” youth initiatives, leadership and democracy education and includes substance abuse prevention and HIV/AIDS prevention and awareness. CAP is a comprehensive and integrated program which relies heavily on the initiatives and synergies created through the combined expertise and resources of Counterpart International and its five primary contractors: Salvation Army World Service Office (SAWSO), Elwyn Institute, Inc., the United States’, International Center for Not-for-Profit Law (ICNL), University of Colorado, through its alcohol rehabilitation and therapy center (ARTS), Counterpart Creative Center (CCC).
CAP is a comprehensive and integrated program which relies heavily on the initiatives and synergies created through the combined expertise and resources of Counterpart International and its five primary partners.
