Green Defense Association

Founded in 1996, the Green Defense Association is an environmental law organization based in Odessa. It's area of activity is the North-Western Black Sea maritime region of Ukraine. Members of the Association are professional lawyers and specialists in environment protection and management.

Green Defense Association goals include:

• Raising public awareness of the environment
• Increasing public control over the implementation of environment legislation in Ukraine's North-Western maritime region
• Improving current environmental legislation
• Reducing the negative influence of industrial and agricultural activity on the environment.
