Mission
WERB
was founded on December 5, 2000 (registered on April 3, 2001). It is
a non-profit organization created to empower university women in the pursuit of
their goals through initiatives in education, research and business; to
contribute to a better world through the cooperative efforts of its members; to
raise awareness of issues of gender and diversity through education, research
and business.
As
one of the main community service organizations, WERB promotes the education,
leadership, and community involvement of girls and young women.
Aims
initiating and enhancing quality programs for all females of Ryazan region for their professional development;
encouraging
the full application of their knowledge and skills to the problems which
arise at all levels of public life, whether national, regional or
world-wide, and encouraging their participation in the solving of these
problems;
furthering
the development of education in the region;
expanding
educational opportunities (cultural, technical and vocational) for girls and
young women;
integrating
our community projects with IFUW: Globalism
� Connections through Education;
promoting
understanding and friendship among women of the world irrespective of their
race, nationality, religion or political opinions;
encouraging
international cooperation;
representing
Ryazan university women in international organizations.
