"The public- humanitarian organization of pensioners and
invalids of victims of political repressions of the Republic of Tatarstan
unites about 5000 rehabilitated former political prisoners who had suffered from the
horrors of GULAG prisons. Now at our old age we have slid into poverty due to our state policies. Not having
enough money to live a proper life we appeal to you with a request for charity and humanitarian help. We should be very
thankful for any help, especially we need medicines, food and clothes. The average age of our organization members is about 75
years, they are not able to take care of themselves and their average pension is
about 15-18 dollars a month.
Humanitarian help, delivered through state bodies does not reach us.
We appeal to you to sympathize with unguarded people who are now in
poverty."
