Association of Teachers and Researchers of Journalism

Association of Teachers and Researchers of Journalism received a grant from the Eurasia Foundation in late 1999 to increase the financial independence of regional mass media by raising the professional qualifications of media managers through specialized training. More than 60 regional managers will attend courses on marketing and advertising strategies, editorial management, business planning, and budgeting. Upon completion, participants will receive certificates of professional continuing education from Moscow State University's Journalism Department and participate in follow-up consultations.
