ROOF was formed in 1997 to increase the employment potential of children who are growing up in Russia's orphanages. It offers English language programs and donated computers to orphanages in Moscow and the Moscow region. Classes in computer literacy and professional development internship programs with local businesses are in the planning stages. ROOF would like to establish links with schools and other institutes in Russia and abroad in order to provide more supplemental education and vocational training to Russian orphans. The fund's headquarters are located in New York.
