All-Russian Society Hospice

In April 1994, the All-Russian Society Hospice organized its first conference "Hospices: Conceptualizing and Developing Them." The goal of the conference was to bring out various specialists as well as volunteers and nonprofessionals who support and care for people in the final stages of terminal diseases. The conference was organized with the support of the Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences, The Institute of Man, The Center for Psychological Support, and the Psychology Department of the Moscow State University.
