Express Khronika is a weekly newspaper that reports on human rights issues and democratic movements. It started in 1987 after being circulated for years as samizdat. Its editor-in-chief is a well-known human rights activist who served more than eight years in prison for work that included the 1978 publication of Punitive Medicine, a book which documented Soviet psychiatric abuses.Express Khronika utilizes a network of correspondents throughout Russia and the NIS. In addition to its weekly newspaper, it also publishes a daily wire service, which is available via fax or e-mail, and periodic special reports, including a year-end summary of the human rights situation in Russia.

- Express Chronicle
- Weekly newspaper, focusing on human rights and related political and social issues, has been published regularly since 1978 (in Russian). Currently, the paper is 4 pages in length and has a circulation of approximately 15,000.
- Express Chronicle Daily Wire
- This daily news wire of human rights and related news material is sent out twice daily (morning and evening editions, with one daily edition on weekends) via fax and e-mail internationally. The wire has been available in Russian since 1994, in English since November 1995, and Ukrainian since January 1996.
- Express Chronicle Weekly News Summary
- These weekly news summaries are complied from the daily wires throughout the week and sent out via fax and e-mail on Fridays. The summaries are available in Russian and English.
