Stoleshnikov pereulok 2
RCH treats children with serious illnesses. The hospital's highly specialized pediatric medicine departments include oncology, immunology, and hematology. The hospital remains the only medical facility that performs pediatric kidney transplants in the regions of the former Soviet Union.Unfortunately, most families can not afford to pay for their children's operations and treatment. In 1989, Father Alexander Men, founded a Christian charity group in collaboration with the Saints Cosmos and Damien Church to help find sponsors to pay for hospital equipment, operations, treatment, and assist poor families with traveling expenses, housing and food, while their child is being treated. Because many children have to remain in the hospital for months at a time, the charity group also raises money to pay for holiday celebrations, leisure activities and art projects.
