American Institute of Business and Economics

AIBEc is an independent, not-for-profit American business school operating in Moscow since 1993. It offers a program of evening courses in all major areas of business, taught in English by American instructors. Students can earn an MBA in two to three years. More than 90 percent of students are Russian, but international students are also welcome. A competitive entrance examination for the MBA program is offered once a year in April. Financial aid is available to students with outstanding scores but limited financial means. Students interested in taking only a few courses in their specialty may apply at any time.

AIBEc students develop an understanding of international business that makes them especially valuable to Western firms doing business in Russia, as well as Russian firms working with Western partners and clients. A 1997 study commissioned by the World Bank ranked AIBEc first among 20 business schools surveyed in Moscow.
