This organization works to improve legislation for protection of property rights in Russia. It lobbies national and regional level government for new copyright laws to prevent the illegal duplication and dissemination of publications, books, videos, and audio cassettes, which has become a lucrative business on the Russian black market since 1991. The organization also distributes information to the public on this growing problem, the need for new legislation, and the rights of individuals to protect their intellectual property.
