The center organizes and supports projects that help neglected or disadvantaged children in the St. Petersburg area. The center's name, Innovations, refers to its goal of implementing creative, progressive methods in the social sector.

The group helped establish three clinics that offer medical, psychological and social assistance to disadvantaged youth and street children. One of the clinics, Lazaret, has aided over 400 children since opening in 1995. The center has also worked with a home for disabled children in Pavlovsk, helping to make bathrooms at the facility handicapped-accessible and renovating the home's physiotherapy area. Additionally, Innovations procured the volunteer services of a German physiotherapist who periodically visits the facility.
