Human Rights Research Center of the Bashkortostan Republic

The center is closely affiliated with the Bashkortostan branch of the liberal Yabloko party. It works to increase public awareness of the rights and responsibilities of citizens in a democratic society and to encourage the development of rule of law and "legal culture" in the republic. To that end, the center publishes a quarterly newsletter, Know Your Rights, and is developing a civics curriculum for local schools. The group also holds seminars to help NGOs officially register.
