The foundation preserves biodiversity and has developed a network of new protected territories to combat habitat loss due to logging, mining, and development in the Russian Far East. It works closely with the Hornocker Institute of the University of Idaho to implement programs to protect rare and endangered species such as the Siberian tiger, the Far Eastern leopard, the red wolf, and Japanese and hooded cranes. Membership in the foundation is free.
