"Green City of Omsk"

In 1995, the NGO Green City of Omsk organized an environmental field trip to northern Siberia and provided a catamaran for the field trip, which went from Omsk to the Irtysh and Ob Rivers and teh coast of the Arctic Ocean. The project was designed to promote public interest in the Russian North; research into the ecosystems of the tundra and the taiga; and establishment of an environmental monitoring field station.
