Khingan Nature Reserve

This nature reserve operates a conservation and restoration program for endangered cranes, storks, and other birds. It has worked closely with the International Crane Foundation to protect wetland habitats, and has also worked with the Russian Socio-Ecological Union (SEU) and the Earth Island Institute in the U.S. to promote ecotourism to the region.
