Barnaul Fund for Humanitarian Aid and Development

The fund's activities have included distribution of medical aid from U.S. NGO's such as Direct Relief International. They supervised an 18-month program at the Altai Regional Children's Hospital for children with leukemia, during which medicines were provided for the treatment of 30 children.

In addition to ongoing activities distributing medical aid on a monthly basis, the fund is currently working at the request of the regional government to set up an orphanage for 180 children. For the past four summers they have run camps for handicapped children; in the summer of 1995 it ran two eight-day camps with about 50 children in each.
