Baikal Center for Ecological and Civic Initiatives

The Baikal Center has worked since 1994 to expand the network of information and cooperation between groups, individuals, and govermental agencies involved in environmental protection efforts in the Baikal region. The center also attempts to foster cooperation among a variety of groups, interregional and international, that are working to build civil society in Russia. The Baikal Center has received funding from the Eurasia Foundation.
