Caritas Magadan was established in 1991, and has operated through the parish of the Catholic church. It organizes volunteers to provide food and financial assistance to the elderly and disadvantaged.

Caritas Vladivostok was established in 1993 to mobilize medical and other volunteers to launch two projects: 1) a clinic providing free medical treatment and psychological counseling for pensioners, children with disabilities, and low income individuals; and 2) monetary assistance to pensioners and families with many children for medicine and food.
