AVERS

Initiative group "AVERS" - was created in May 1999, in Vladivostok. The purpose of this group is to provide information and support for non-profit and non-government organizations which work in the social area. There are a lot of organizations working to help social programs defend the rights of all people. Many of them can help with deciding questions that need to be answered, and also help with solutions. Questions concerning any matter- for example questions regarding health and questions regarding personal problems that may arise. There is also help for those who are retired and solitary.

Sometimes people need help or have questions and don't know where to go to get the help they need, answer questions or even for support. In Vladivostok there are organizations that can help in these cases. The dean of Social Works and Social Works faculty - Far East State University, Siroed Nadejda Savvovna, does research in this area and the result of this research, a database was created for non-profit organizations. All the gathered information in the database is available by phone day and night.

If anyone is to need help because of social-difficulty or disadvantage circumstances they can call us, and we will try to help answer any questions and help with problems in anyway we can. There are many people can use phone for the traditional purpose, but not everybody knows how to search for these certain organizations. Many of them not can use paper-based reference books because there is so much information. Without the financial support of ISAR/USAID - by a program named "Yesterday Beginning Today" and sponsors informational-analytical Service "516-516" it would not have been possible for us to start this wonderful project.

We hope to create new information and communication between undefended people in society and NGOs. We will hope to build better conditions for our project, though, we need the possibility of feasible support.
