Chelyabinsk Charitable Foundation "ANTISPID" (Anti-AIDS)

Working with national and international groups, ANTISPID provides HIV and AIDS education and prevention materials and provides assistance to HIV-positive individuals and people with AIDS.

Since 1991 the organization has been the primary group in the region working to provide counselling and assistance to HIV-positive and AIDS patients, and training to medical and social workers. It has developed a prevention education program for young people that is used in schools, and works with other NGOs who have HIV-positive and AIDS-infected clients. They have worked with the national government in developing an AIDS policy, and have published several books on AIDS issues for Russia.
