The Bishkek Migration Management Centre (BMMC) was established by the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic, the International Organization for Migration (IOM), and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) for the purposes of comprehensively researching migration and refugee issues in the states of Central Asia and the region as a whole, assisting in the development of migration legislation and policies, and training personnel.
The Center is in the process of compiling a data base of scholars/consultants in the Social
Sciences and Humanities
that may be invited to conduct research on migration, refugees, and asylum seekers within the region.
Scholars and consultants who wish to be included are invited to register their interest by
sending a curriculum vitae to Ms. Ismailova Jyldyz (the Information Officer).
