One of the largest environmental NGOs in Kyrgyzstan, Aleyne lobbies for improved environmental legislation in the republic, promotes the work and development of environmental NGOs and distributes information regarding the republic's environment. Aleyne members developed a National Plan for Environmental Protection that was approved by the Kyrgyz federal government. It held a seminar for NGOs on public participation in environmental protection. The group conducts ecological monitoring and is actively promoting the development of a Biosphere Reserve in Kyrgyzstan.
