Independent Institute of Socio-Economic and Political Studies, Ltd.

IISEPS, Ltd. is a nongovernmental, nonprofit organization offering "an alternative to official state-sponsored social science." It was founded in Minsk in April 1992 by a group of private entrepreneurs, new politicians, journalists and academics, and is based on the values and principles of liberal democracy. It receives support from the Center for International Private Enterprise.

IISEPS is involved in surveying public attitudes towards democratic and market principles in Belarus. The main aim of the project is to promote the principles of a free market economy through the activities of leading political and economic figures in Belarus. The project conducts research and advocacy, including consulting, publishing and educational activities. Policy papers, newspaper articles, seminars and other activities deliver the Institute's recommendations to policymakers, the private business sector, the media and the general public. The Chairman of IISEPS is a member of the International Association for Mass Communication Media.
