The Belarusian Helsinki Committee (BHC) is a voluntary, independent and non-political nongovernmental organisation. It was registered by the Ministry of Justice in November 1995. In accordance with the Charter, the main objective of the BHC is "the protection of Human Rights declared by the Helsinki agreements and other international treaties on Human Rights in the Republic of Belarus."
